Kenyans are very angry after President Uhuru said that the presidential debate was a waste of time. Some of the Kenyans took to social media to express their disappointment in president Kenyatta.

Soon after it was clear that President Uhuru Kenyatta had not and was not going to show up at the venue for the highly-publicized debate, Kenyans took to social media to attack him.

Yesterday, July 24, 2017, was presidential debate day, one which President Uhuru Kenyatta gave a wide berth while his proponent, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga, had a whole hour to himself.

Soon after it was clear that President Uhuru Kenyatta had not and was not going to show up at the venue for the highly-publicised debate, Kenyans took to social media to attack him.

As the ‘presidential monologue’ continued, millions of Kenyans watched as the Opposition leader peculiarly kept referring to Linus and Joe, until the former had had enough of it and attempted to correct the ex PM. But it was all in vain.

Nasa flag bearer Mr Raila Odinga who showed up for the presidential debate had a lot to say to Kenyans. He agreed that Kenya was going in the wrong direction because of the high inflation rate, youth unemployment and mega corruption in the Jubilee government.

Kenyans have taken to social media to attack President Uhuru Kenyatta for missing the highly anticipated debate.

Raila had earlier challenged the President to agree to debate him after the Debate Commission informed him that there had been no response from Jubilee to what would be or not be acceptable.

Odinga made the remark during the presidential debate which was broadcast live on national television and snubbed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenya’s main opposition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has stressed on his allegations of conspiracy between the ruling party and security agencies to rig the upcoming elections.

President Uhuru Kenyatta now says he knew the presidential debate held on Monday was a trap which he did not want to fall for.
